In honor of Throwback Thursday we look back at one of our more challenging design and installs for Sunset Club on Capital Hill in Seattle. This women’s club presented the unique challenge of being two very old buildings connected together and absolute demand for the AV equipment to blend into the gorgeous decor of this historic building.
The Sunset Club was founded in 1913 as a private women’s club. Designed by Josef Cote’, the Georgian style Clubhouse was completed in 1915 and was one of the first in the West designed specifically as a women’s club. The Club has been a historic part of Seattle ever since.
We installed computer controlled audio systems in both the ballroom and the dining room. EV Innovation Line speakers were chosen because of their clean look and audio quality.
We also installed a screen that raises and lowers electronically for digital projection in the banquet hall.
The Dante-based Symetrix system allows control of all critical audio parameters from their Microsoft Surface computer. Dante networking allows this old building to become high-tech and allow us facility-wide audio distribution and networking.
We were excited to be a part of adding to the amazing atmosphere of this place while maintaining it’s historic integrity!
